14 month update

Evie started saying her name this weekend.  It's the cutest thing!  I will get it (among other things) on video soon.  Something has been up with my phone and I've been losing videos and photos a lot if I don't post them right away.  I will have to look into it when (if!) I get time.

Evie likes to kiss everything in sight.  If she's not directly kissing, she's blowing kisses.  The girl LOVES kisses.  Tell me, is there anything more precious than that?  Because if there is, I don't even want to know.  I might explode. ;)

She had her first illness this weekend -- a tummy bug.  We knew something wasn't right when she was refusing food.  It didn't seem to last long, though, before we knew it she was back to her crazy energetic self.  Nursing had started to become somewhat of an annoyance before this happened, and being able to offer that to her while she was sick made me so happy that we're still going strong.  I'm sure we can credit the breastmilk for her speedy recovery!  And for her not getting sick for 14 whole months!

Being sick all weekend meant that we didn't get to go out and see our friends and family.  Bummer.  I will admit though that I liked her being more cuddly than usual.  She's always on the go these days!

Other super cute things that she's doing lately:
- Dancing (this also includes headbanging when appropriate!)
- Imitating us and her sound-making toys
- Still growling. This is especially fun with Halloween upon us.  We have a frankenstein and mummy lit up in our yard and she runs out and growls "monster! mummy!!"

She is not afraid of anything Halloween or monster related.  This of course makes her papa very proud.  Halloween is his favorite holiday.  He bought a scary werewolf mask and she points at it excitedly and says "doggie!" and waves. :)

Happy Halloween, everyone!
