We took some belly photos by the window for natural light this past Saturday (before our A/C went out -- gah!) The owls are from E's pack and play mobile. :) We've learned that Toby likes to attack them, so we took them down for the time being. I was trying to get a good shot of the owls, and Scott said I needed to get the baby's eye view shot. He took the belly shots. I love them!
I won't bother listing all of the symptoms/discomforts I've had over the past couple weeks. I'm sure that anyone who's been pregnant knows! I have made a couple calls into the birthing center to assure me that everything is "normal", which, of course, it is. We have no new estimate as to when E will arrive (or what size baby we can expect), but the due date is rapidly approaching and that says enough!
Here are the "official" 37 week shots, taken last night. I hate how the flash makes my belly shine (not to mention I hate how puffy my face looks), so I actually like this dark, mysterious photo. ;)
See what I mean about puffy face?
I thought I was swollen before, but this week has proven to me that I was not...until now. My poor feet!

Rest assured that each of us has worn that same puffy face with every approaching baby delivery, so you look normal and you will be shocked how good you feel after the baby is born if all goes well. Your body is an amazing instrument that heals itself in such a wonderful way to enable you to care properly for your baby.
i love that series of belly shots with the owls EVEN more. and i can't even tell you how cool it is that scott suggested a picture from the baby's eye-view...it reminds me of the "to-do" list J wrote for A when i was in labor. it said: get born, eat, sleep.
our gentle men are/will be such awesome fathers!
Thanks awesome mama! Yeah, I was watching her take pictures of the owls and the thought just came to me. I like the results too. :)
