I should really update this more! Life just gets in the way, and I'm working on getting my thesis done so I can finally graduate this May! Plus I'd been updating small snippets on facebook, but I decided to take a hiatus from there for a while so that I have less distractions. So far, it's working: I've gotten a page written every day since I deleted it. ;)
Scott took Evie for her four month checkup yesterday (the stats on her height/weight/etc are in the picture on the last post). No shots this time-- we want to research them more before we get any, plus I think she's still too little. She's still very tall for her age, and her weight is pretty much average. She gained 3 pounds and 2 inches since her two month checkup! Babies grow so quickly!
She giggles a lot now, smiles even more, "talks" almost constantly, lets us know (loudly) when she's not happy with something, grabs things a lot more (mama's hair is one of her favorites, and god bless the nursing necklaces I have!), and has recently discovered her feet. :)
Once I went back to the office, she started waking up at night to eat a lot. This is called reverse cycling, and it's something I've learned to live with. I'm tired, but I know this time will pass quickly. I love nursing and am proud that we've made it to 4.5 months exclusively on breastmilk so far!
The doctor said it'd be OK to start feeding her solids, but we're going to wait a while longer. I have to admit that it's tempting to give her some food this week as she's obviously going through a growth spurt (good thing I ate all those extra calories over the holidays! :P) But this too shall pass!
Other news: Scott and I got engaged over the Thanksgiving holiday. I asked him. :) We finally picked out our rings and should have them within the next couple weeks or so! We're also planning on taking a trip out to Spain/Europe this summer to see my sister and celebrate my graduation. Hopefully it works out.

Nice to see you blogging again :) I'm proud of you for doing such a great job breastfeeding too! It's definitely not easy the first few months. Hopefully she will stop reverse cycling and give you your sleep back. I also hope everything works out with the trip!! Get that thesis done! Love you guys :) AND love the ring you picked out!!!
