Letter recognition

Last night, as I was getting Evie's stuff ready for bed, she was leaning into the laundry basket and saying "B! B!"  Scott looked inside it and saw that the sticker had a couple words with capital Bs in them, and was convinced she knew them.  She's pretty obsessed with her letter blocks and we read them to her a lot.

I couldn't believe it was true, so he took her around the house and showed her some letters (not all Bs, of course).  SHE KNEW.  Only knows B so far, it seems, but she definitely knows it.  I tested this again at lunch, and sure enough.

I am a little freaked out that she would recognize letters at barely one year old, but simultaneously bursting with pride!  She gets her smarts from her daddy. :)
