It's amazing to me how much Evie communicates. How much she's soaked up from the world around her. Sometimes she is like a little adult. This morning I was in the bathroom getting ready for work when she waltzed in with her sippy cup and said "Oh! Hi mommy! How you doing?" as if she were genuinely surprised and delighted to see me. Then she pushed past me (to get to her bath toys) and said "excuse me, mommy!"
Sometimes I can't stop laughing at the things she says. I was nursing her after work and she (for the first time) decided to play "peek a boobie" with my shirt. She did this at the exact moment that Scott had dialed the phone to call for pizza. He had to leave the room because we were laughing so hard. I love when she comes up with stuff on her own. She's like a little comedian.
She also had an earworm today. She kept breaking out into song "mahna mahna do do do do" every 5-10 minutes, no matter what else she was doing. She even whispered it while I was getting her down for bed! It was super adorable, of course!
She is happy to have her grandparents closer (as are we!) and talks about that a lot now. It's helping to give her a sense of time. When Scott went off to work tonight, she said "see you Saturday, papa!" LOL
I feel so blessed and honored to be her mama. She's worth every penny and hour(s) of lost sleep. ;P
