28 week update

Even after being awake for an hour and a half in the middle of the night (thunderstorms are training me for baby), I am bursting with energy today!  Which is strange, because I've been SO TIRED the past few days.  Maybe I'm just happy that it's cooled down a bit outside.  Or maybe water aerobics yesterday (along with my third chiropractic treatment) gave me some much needed energy.  Just wish I could focus it on my thesis, which I am totally over at the moment.  But we won't talk about that...

I've been checking Craigslist the past couple weeks for baby stuff, mostly to get an idea of what's out there and what to expect.  We don't mind used stuff at all, as long as it's in decent condition.  Saving money is important, and I know from experience that babies grow out of everything quickly.  On Sunday someone posted that they had a bag of newborn clothes for $25.  I decided to jump on it.  We ended up with TWO of those big black trash bags full of clothes, ranging from newborn to about 2T!  Scott and I went through everything right away, ditched what we didn't like (not much), and arranged everything by size.  We now have basically an entire wardrobe for our little one.  Relief!  Now comes the difficult task: finding somewhere to put it all.

Most of you know that I am in a "trial period" with my job.  I was basically promoted but not yet given the raise or official title.  This is my fourth week of the six week trial, and things have been going great!  At this point, it's pretty safe to say that I got the job.  My new boss talked to me the other day about whether or not I plan on sticking around, I of course said yes, and she told me how pleased they are with me.  SO, within the next couple weeks, I will be made an offer!  Keep me in your thoughts and prayers on that; if it's enough of a raise, we can afford to move and actually have space!  Oh how nice that would be.  I know babies don't need much space at first, but our own things are already taking up a bunch of it... not to mention the full storage unit we have as well.

E's movements have slowed down a bit this week.  I'm trying not to be an overly-worried first time mama and trust that everything is OK in there.  I know s/he is getting tall because I've been feeling movement in my ribs all the way down to my pelvis.  I think I'm huge, but most people don't even seem to notice that I'm pregnant.  Only 10-14 more weeks to go!  (ONLY.)  Here's my 28 week picture...

Lookin' good! You look like you lost some weight, but your bump got bigger. And you're glowing, of course :)

Maybe you've entered the "nesting" period because I know that gave me TONS of energy! I hope you get a great raise... you most definitely deserve it. Will be thinking of you guys!

I finally got into the habit of drinking 3 liters of water a day! I think that's helped a lot. I actually have "lost" a couple lbs... probably water weight. I feel a lot better too. We went for a walk last night and it wasn't a struggle. The couple times before that were. I know the chiropractor has helped TREMENDOUSLY. It's a lot easier to move now. :)
