30 weeks!

I really hope I can work until the end of pregnancy, giving me the max amount of time at home with E.  I guess it's not so bad if I get up and walk around a lot during the day.  But even then, I'm usually half hobbling out of the office at 5:30.  Sitting in one position all day is not ideal for pregnant women.

In another life, maybe I'd have been able to be a stay at home mom.  But that's neither here nor there.  I don't even know that I'd WANT to be, but it does sound appealing sometimes.  I've come up with a maternity leave proposal to present to my bosses when my offer comes through (July 1.)  It gets me back to work quickly, but gradually.  Under my plan, I wouldn't be completely full time again until E is about six months old.  We'll see if they go for it.  They do claim to be flexible and family-friendly.  Time to put that to the test!

I can tell that E is getting stronger by the day, and that makes me so happy and relieved!  Movements feel different now -- instead of flutters and "popcorn" I feel undeniable kicks, rolls, and even slight shifts.  None of it hurts... yet. ;)  I have had a few instances of kicks or punches directly to the bladder, but thankfully those have been few and far between.  (Maybe it's because daddy gave E a lecture about it, hehe.)

I'm really looking forward to my midwife appointment tomorrow.  They told me last month that they would be able to identify body parts just by feeling around.  Try as I might, I have yet to master that!

I wasn't kidding when I said my belly doubled in size. ;)  (At least it feels like it has...)  Taken from the right this time, since the right side is where E ALWAYS is.  If I look tired, it's because I am!  We usually don't remember to take these until right before bed.

The last trimester is difficult, but it's also fun. The baby really starts feeling like a baby when it moves around. I'm sure you remember Tristan's acrobatics in utero ;) You're looking good! Only a few more weeks to go!! We need to chat again soon and pin down some dates!

oh and good luck with your plan... I really hope they accept your proposal so you can get some more Mommy/Baby time in before getting back to work full time.
